As a tutor, my approach is centred around creating a comfortable and engaging learning environment that fosters understanding and critical thinking. I use a variety of teaching methodologies and techniques, including active learning, problem-solving, and visual aids, to help my students grasp difficult concepts and apply them to real-world situations.
A typical lesson plan with me involves a brief review of the previous lesson's topics, followed by an introduction of new material with interactive exercises and examples to illustrate the concepts. I encourage my students to ask questions and participate actively in discussions to enhance their learning experience.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt my teaching style and techniques to the unique needs and learning styles of each individual student. I prioritize building a strong rapport with my students and providing a personalized approach that maximizes their potential for success.
My lessons are for middle school to high school students in Toronto who are struggling with maths. I have a background in engineering and a passion for teaching, which allows me to bring real-world applications and practical experience into the classroom.
