About Daniel
My name is Daniel Horobin; I have always had an affinity to Mathematics. I achieved the grades of A* in Maths, A* in Further Maths and A* in Physics for my A-levels. This enabled me commence a Maths degree at Warwick University, the 3rd best university for teaching Maths, in the UK. During my time in school, I took great pride in being able to help fellow classmates to answer questions and I even helped the teacher to find solutions to questions, that appeared difficult.

During my lessons, I would firstly connect back to previous learning, related to the learning that session. I would use a My Turn, Our Turn, Your Turn approach to teach mathematical methods. I would provide written questions, where I would first explain my thought processes in solving the problem. I would then invite the student to explore a similar example, where we would discuss how we would approach the question. If I felt they had a sound understanding of this, I would then give them a question to answer independently, giving feedback afterwards. I would support the student by addressing misconceptions and challenge them, to help them master their learning. If the student wanted further practice, I could provide questions to complete, by the following session. If the student wanted to work through questions from their school homework, I could support them in this too.
