About Ali
Hi! I’m Ali, a sophomore at Northern Illinois University majoring in Health and Human Sciences with a pre-dental emphasis. I plan to attend dental school in Fall 2027. I’ve helped students improve their performance in subjects like math, English, and science—especially on standardized tests like the SAT, where my students have raised their scores significantly in both math and reading sections. I’ve also guided students to earn better grades on exams, essays, and assignments through personalized support and smart study strategies. After experiencing poor academic advising myself, I became deeply invested in understanding what colleges and grad schools really look for. Now, I use that knowledge to help others avoid those same setbacks—whether you're navigating course selections, preparing for grad school, or writing standout personal statements. My tutoring style is student-centered, relatable, and results-driven. I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can thrive academically and get closer to their career goals. My Approach as a Tutor: I believe in breaking down complex topics into simple, digestible steps. What Sets Me Apart: As a current university student on a pre-dental track, I’ve recently taken the same courses, I know what instructors look for, how to study smart, and how to stay motivated. I bring not just knowledge—but relatability and mentorship—to every session. Who My Lessons Are For: I work with middle school, high school, and college students, especially those in STEM or health science majors. I also support students preparing for standardized exams or applying to college and pre-professional programs.
