About Sophie
I am a first year Global Sustainable Development student at the University of Warwick. While it is not directly relevant to my degree, I am hugely passionate about maths and thoroughly enjoyed studying it at A-level.
I am offering one to one lessons to year 8/9/10 students for maths.
I have no formal experience giving tuition however I assisted with a GCSE maths class for two years and specifically helped the students who were struggling most. I am extremely reliable and have good communication skills. I am willing to put in a huge amount of effort to ensure each student has a good grasp of the subject and feels confident.

I would be able to help each student with their own work, for example using worksheets/books that they have been provided by their teachers. If they find a particular topic more difficult I can find more example questions to work through with the student.
The best way I find to learn is to work through as many practice questions as possible. First, we would work through an example question together and I would explain each step of the solution. Then I would allow the student to attempt more questions on their own and I would step in when they made any mistakes or needed help.
I received maths tuition for A-level and I find that this method of teaching works very well.
