About Monique
I'm currently studying a Music Degree at Royal Holloway University of London. I am in my first of 3 years and hoping to improve my knowledge and skills so that I can become an Orchestral conductor after finishing University.
Growing up with ADHD I found it really difficult to learn using specific teaching styles given to us at school, so my parents invested in tutors for me in order to help me learn better. I really enjoyed maths and found that the techniques I was taught outside of the school environment were more beneficial than those taught from within. I would like to pass this down so that children who were like me find school life easier and less stressful than necessary.
For lessons, I'd like to start by getting to know the children I teach, what they do and don't like about the subject as well as what they find difficult and if there are any learning difficulties I should be aware of so I can custom make a lesson plans based on what works best for them.

Telling their students that a problem can only be fixed in one certain way but that is definantly not the case.
