About Jamie
My name is Jamie and I am a senior lecturer and programme leader in education. I have been in the educational sphere for my entire career where I have held positions such as: class teacher, headteacher, government adviser, rugby academy director, and researcher. Over the years, I have focused on leadership that recognises people before positions, a person first approach. I also focus on using a neurodiversity paradigm that recognises different forms of cognition as being part of the diversity of life. Whatever your goals for tutoring, I am happy to explore ways I can help. If, for some reason, I cannot, I can advise on other avenues of support. I believe in a constructivist and dialogic approach to learning. Through conversation, reflexivity, and solution focus, we will explore how to capitalise on experiences so that personal and professional growth can be achieved. Our sessions will be guided by your goals and ambitions. With my own experiences as a senior lecturer, teacher, master's in psychology, and school principal, I use active listening to centre student voice. These sessions will build a rapport and trust between us so that we can build a mutual trust.
