About Eliza
As a state school graduate and the first member of my family to attend university, I am passionate about making English Literature an accessible subject for all. I earned my BA in English with proficiency in French at the University of Exeter, graduating with a first in 2023. I studied for my MSt in World Literatures in English at the University of Oxford, graduating with a distinction in 2024. I am now in the first year of my DPhil at Oxford. My research interests are within World and Postcolonial literatures, and I am well placed to deliver teaching across a wide variety of material.

I offer a friendly and welcoming space for students to think creatively and rigorously through their studies within English Literature. Whether preparing to take your GCSE exams, writing a longer A-level essay, or improving your close reading skills, I am here to help. I also offer help with writing personal statements and preparing university applications. I have experience teaching visiting students on a one-to-one tutorial basis at Oxford, where I write appropriate syllabi tailored to the students' interests and needs. Lessons last for one hour, and are held online.
