About Mikhala
I'm a junior student studying business analytics and business technology and the University of Miami. I have experience tutoring math, specifically precalc and calculus, to high school and college students. I also have started tutoring for college level business stats in the past year.

My experience has been in tutoring high school and college students, and I use a problem-solving strategy to approach tutoring sessions. I start by diagnosing the disconnect between the student and the content, then from there develop a way to teach the student that is catered to the specific problem they're having and tailored to their learning style. Typical tutoring sessions would involve the student having a list of topics they're struggling with/working on at the moment. We would try a problem together, to see where the student gets stuck, then go back to the notes or textbook to break down the concepts behind that type of problem and develop a better understanding. Finally, we'd return to some practice problems, doing some together and some independently to drill down the concepts that we reviewed.
