About Dominic
I have a PhD in structural engineering from the University of Manchester. I specialised in computational structural mechanics and developed expertise in structural and solid mechanics, maths and physics.
Throughout my PhD I tutored family friends in maths and physics at GCSE and A-Level. I have taught third-year university students in structural design. I currently teach:
- GCSE and A-level maths, along with mechanics in physics
- Undergraduate level civil and structural engineering modules.

My teaching method is very practical. I start by illustrating the core principles conceptually, allowing the student go comprehend the key concepts for each subject area. This is followed by some simple problems to allow the student to gain confidence. Finally, we will tackle an exam question to apply knowledge learned in the lesson. I am happy to teach online or in person.
