About Ella
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Oxford in the UK, and am passionate about language and social sciences generally, though I specialize in archaeology and anthropology as part of my degree. I have experience tutoring throughout my high school years, and being a ski instructor for five years has equally honed my pedagogical skills. I have always maintained an average of above 90% and am assiduous in my studies, which is something that I carry into my tutoring work while making lessons interesting for my students!

I prefer structured lessons that incorporate relevant "fun" readings and simplified teaching approaches, which encourage students to engage with the subject both independently and in tutorials. I am very adaptable and will adjust my teaching to meet the students' specific needs, level, and interests. However, I usually begin by discussing recent work and providing feedback, followed by activities, writing exercises, and discussions, while setting goals and readings for the next session. These lessons are particularly aimed at high school students, those applying for university degrees, but I also have experience working with children and can tutor at an elementary school level as well.
