About Jess
I'm a third year undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge, studying Chemical Engineering at Pembroke College. At A-Level, I studied Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics and achieved 4 A*s. I also undertook an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) which saw me write a dissertation on a topic I was interested in (which for me was Carbon Capture and Storage) alongside studying for my A-Levels.
Whilst taking my GCSEs, I tutored fellow students in Maths and during my A-Levels I assisted in the running of Chemistry help-sessions for fellow students that were struggling with the course. Since going to university, as well as continuing with tutoring sessions, I have worked as a mentor on an outreach programme which involved working with Lower Sixth students to reassure their exam-related worries, explore optimal revision techniques and to answer any queries they had about university life.
My experience also extends beyond academic life as I worked as a teaching assistant at a local dance school for 4 years , working with students aged 3-18. By then end of my 4 years there, I was often running classes by myself, and have since come back to cover current teachers during my time at home from university.

As a current undergraduate student and experienced tutor specialising in online lessons for GCSE and A-level Maths, Chemistry and Physics, I will provide sessions tailored to my students' needs. My tutoring sessions are engaging, interactive and personalised, designed for students seeking academic excellence. There will be a focus each session on building and consolidating knowledge through practise questions, with the overall aim of preparing students for success in exams.
Alongside tutoring students throughout GCSEs and A-Levels, I have experience mentoring A-Level students through outreach programmes and experience teaching dance classes for students aged 3-18.
I would also be able to help prospective Oxbridge students with admissions assessment preparation, specialising in preparation for the NSAA.
