About Gabriela
Hi! I am an Economics student at the University of Bath, one of the top 10 universities in the UK for Economics.
For my A-levels I studied Economics, Physics and Mathematics, so I am very knowledgeable in Physics up to A-Levels.
I've always been a very hard-working and determined student, and to show for that, I got A*AA for my A-levels as well as all 9s and 8s for my GCSEs.
I have over 2 years experience in tutoring GCSE level students as well teaching English to non-English speakers when I lived abroad. So I am able to adjust my teaching methods in order to suit the needs of the students as well as taking into account their constraints.
I have enjoyed sharing my techniques and knowledge with younger students to see them flourish, reach and maintain their full potential. This is why I wish to continue tutoring and why I am so passionate about helping students reach their academic goals.
I know the hard work it takes to reach the top grades because I have had to put in that work, and now I want to help you put in the work in order to reach your goals. I know how stressful it can be knowing that there is so much learning and revision to be done, so I want to remove some of that stress and guide you to those top grades by providing structure to your revision, filling any gaps in your knowledge and making you more confident in what you know.

Lessons will typically be 1 hour long and 3 times a week, however I am more than happy to adjust the hours and frequency depending on the student's requirements.
My lessons are completely tailored and personalised to the student. During our first lesson, we will discuss revision and learning techniques in order to outline which method best suits the student. This is because the most important aspect of tutoring isn't the content that is being taught but rather the technique that is being used.
The goal of each lesson is to progress, so at the end of each lesson we will take 15 minutes to reflect on what we have learnt. This could be done by us switching roles, so you are explaining to me the content as if I am learning it for the first time, or practice questions, or a simple discussion. Depending on what comes out during this reflection time, some extra work may be set so that retrieval practise is used (a very important revision technique), so that you fully understand the topic. I will also be more than happy to answer any of your questions outside of our lesson time to help make sure your learning process is as effective as possible.
