About Jayne
My name is Jayne. I’m a student at the University of Western Australia. I’m a science student primarily; however, I also study English literature-centered courses.
I speak both English and German. For this reason, I believe my methods are most beneficial to German speakers of all dialects.
Naturally, I accept all students from any background. My goal is to help build your language confidence.

My English lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate-level students. I have practical experience teaching German-speakers advanced English. I have also taught English fundamentals to children over the course of a year, resulting in their English reaching a conversational level. My lessons follow a clear, balanced structure:
10 minutes – Warm-up & Conversation: Simple questions and everyday conversation to build confidence and get students speaking.
15 minutes – Vocabulary & Grammar: Introduce useful vocabulary and grammar relevant to the lesson topic.
20 minutes – Guided Practice: Use exercises, examples, reading, listening, or role-play to practice the new material.
10 minutes – Speaking Practice: Encourage students to use what they have learned in realistic conversations and situations.
5 minutes – Review & Feedback: Recap the key points, correct common mistakes, and set a small goal or activity for the next lesson.
The focus is on practical communication, building confidence, and gradually improving accuracy, while keeping lessons engaging and suited to each student.
My teaching methods are well suited to German native speakers as I can easily explain harder concepts in German.
I also have experience teaching Russian and Ukrainian students.
