About Maya
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan studying biopsychology and neuroscience. While a busy career, tutoring is my scape goat as I have a passion for helping people understand subjects that may seem difficult to them at first. One of my favorite moments is that "aha" that students make when they finally understand the material. Not only do I love that feeling, but I wish to relay that to every one of my students.

Through a one-on-one lesson, I typically will go through a paper or assignment and review the grammatical accuracy while explaining what might sound better if replaced. I leverage paraphrasing to accentuate the original paper and highlight the key details the student is trying to write about. With experience in the field of paraphrasing and proofreading, I can provide lessons to people with a low to moderate level of English writing throughout all ages. Additionally, as a bilingual, I can help Spanish speakers with their English and writing skills.
