Hi! I'm a first-year BS/MD student in an accelerated medical program, and I'm excited to help students strengthen their English skills!

I earned a 770 on the SAT Reading and Writing section and have four years of volunteer tutoring experience. Throughout my academic career, I've developed strong reading, writing, grammar, and analytical skills, and I enjoy helping others find ways to make challenging material easier to understand.

I'm happy to help with just about any area of English, including grammar, spelling, reading comprehension, vocabulary, essay writing, proofreading, and editing. Whether you're working on a school assignment, preparing for an exam, writing an essay, or simply hoping to become a stronger writer, we can focus on whatever you need most.

I know that writing can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're unsure how to organize your thoughts or express an idea the way you want to. My approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their work, and learning from mistakes. When reviewing writing, I focus not only on correcting errors but also on helping students understand how to improve their clarity, organization, and overall expression.

I believe everyone can become a stronger reader and writer with the right guidance and practice. I'm excited to help students build their skills, gain confidence, and discover that English doesn't have to be intimidating!

About the lesson

My goal as an English tutor is to help students become stronger, more confident readers and writers. Whether you're struggling with grammar, working on an essay, preparing for an exam, or simply looking to improve your writing, I'll tailor our lessons to your individual needs and goals.

I believe the best way to improve in English is through a combination of clear explanations, guided practice, and constructive feedback. Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I work with students to understand why something works, how to recognize common errors, and how to apply what they've learned to future assignments.

A typical lesson might involve reviewing grammar rules, practicing reading comprehension, analyzing a passage, organizing ideas for an essay, or revising a piece of writing. For writing assignments, I can help with brainstorming, developing a thesis, structuring paragraphs, strengthening arguments, improving clarity, and proofreading for grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I can also help students prepare for English exams, including SAT Reading and Writing.

Every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style and pace based on what works best for you. I want our lessons to feel supportive and collaborative, where you can ask questions, work through challenges, and develop your skills without feeling judged.

My goal is to help you become a more independent writer and reader who feels confident tackling assignments, expressing ideas clearly, and approaching new challenges!
