I’m Kylie, a STEM tutor who works with middle school and high school students to build confidence, mastery, and genuine curiosity in math and science. My approach is supportive, structured, and customized for every learner, whether they need help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead.
My Teaching Method & Techniques
Concept-first learning: I break down complex ideas into simple, intuitive steps so students understand why something works before memorizing how to do it.
Guided practice: After explaining a concept, I work through examples with the student, gradually shifting responsibility to them as they gain confidence.

Concept instruction (10–20 mins): Clear explanations with guided examples tailored to the student’s learning style.
Practice (15–25 mins): Student solves problems with coaching, feedback, and step-by-step support.
Review (5 mins): Reinforce key ideas, correct misunderstandings, and summarize strategies.
Next steps (1–2 mins): Brief plan for what we’ll work on next time so progress is consistent and measurable.
