Dasha is an exceptional acting coach. She is extremely caring, patient and understanding however never lets you strive for anything short of your best. With her I feel I gained industry level training and confidence for the real world. I do not think I would have been the actor I am today without her guidance

This is a review that I must write or else it would be a disservice to who Dasha is. Me and Dasha studied together at the New York Film Academy. We were not in the same class but we were in the same program so we were aware of each other. I moved to the city alone from Pakistan and had no friends or family. I was struggling tremendously in school and was on the verge of just dropping out and going home. One day she found me in the student lounge on the verge of tears due to a terrible scene presentation of mine. I told her about how I was feeling and that I wanted to go home. She proceeded to tell me that she was going to be doing some extra work this Saturday in the library and invited me to join her. I was hesitant but she insisted. From that point on we met every Saturday and she helped me breakdown every scene, workshop characters intentions and motivations, and even comparassions to shows and movies I love. Not only did she help teach me the true approach an actor should take, but she reignited the love for this work that the child in me once had. This year I will be starting my MFA at NYU and I cannot say I would have gotten here in my own. Dasha is everything an actor and woman should strive to be. Please I beg you, if you need someone to help you in this journey, take the chance on Dasha because she is the type of person to take a chance on you.

My son has always had a very hard time with speech and pronunciation. He is 13 now and has already done years of speech therapy. Recently he fell in love with plays and musicals and desperately wanted to get on stage. He decided to audition for our local community theater’s production of cats, and we decided it was best to reach out for some help to prepare for his audition. We found Dasha and decided to hire her to meet with him on Mondays and Fridays after school for a couple of weeks. I cannot stress enough how outstanding her patience and teaching abilities are. Not only was my son excited to go to her, but had an air of confidence to him that I’ve never seen before. When the audition came I was heartbroken to hear he didn’t get the character he wanted, but then blown away to learn he was casted in a speaking role that I would consider to be one of the main characters. At 46 years old I did not think I would be moved to tears in such a way. To see my baby boy who could barely say a sentence signing and dancing on stage. Dasha will forever have my gratitude. She is truly a wonderful teacher and human being.

My wife (girlfriend at the time) is a life long theater buff. For my proposal I wanted to get some friends together, rent out a space, and put on a show that ended with me asking her to marry me. The issue is I’ve literally never stepped on a stage in my entire life and it’s safe to say I was more educated on acting than any of my friends. I decided it would be best to find someone to help us out and that’s where we found Dasha. For 4 months Dasha met with us 3 times a week helping us write, direct, and perform our own original show. She even helped us find a small stage to put it on. Not only was she incredibly well versed in acting and story telling, but she had this energy about her that made me feel like I could step onto a broadway stage. It’s without a doubt that without Dasha’s expertise and help I would have never been able to experience one of the greatest days of my life. I would not just recommend her but I would insist you work with her. We also invited her to the wedding, I wasn’t sure she would come due to her schedule, but she did in fact join us, which is just a tribute to her character.
