My name is Marissa, I am 20 years old and am currently a sophomore at Purdue University. I am studying brain and behavioral sciences with a pre-med concentration and have dreams of becoming an anesthesiologist! My favorite subject has always been chemistry and teaching it also helps me learn!

I have been to numerous tutoring sessions myself for some of my prerequisite course work and I have picked on so many methods of teaching. I will modify my teaching style based on the way you best learn, but a typical lesson plan for general chemistry would look like this:
We will briefly review your notes for the topics you're unsure on and you will point out things that aren't clicking yet. Then, I will give you an extensive background on the topic and list out steps you will use to solve the problem each time. I believe the best way to learn is with practice, so 75% of our lesson will be us working out some practice problems together!
My lessons are geared towards high school students taking first and second year general chemistry courses, but I could also teach any college freshmen currently needing help in a general chemistry course as well!
