About Destiny
I’m a professional who works in tech and has spent years helping students with Math, English, and test prep. I scored a 1590 on the SAT and have worked with students through places like The Princeton Review, C2 Education, and other tutoring programs. I love making learning feel less stressful and more manageable, and I focus on helping students build confidence along with skills. When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy swimming and traveling. I’m easy to work with, supportive, and committed to helping students feel successful and capable in their schoolwork.

I am an experienced educator with a strong background in Math and English, dedicated to helping students build confidence, skills, and independence in their learning. My tutoring approach is student-centered and structured, combining clear instruction with patience, encouragement, and accountability. I focus on meeting students where they are academically while setting achievable goals that keep them moving forward.
My teaching method blends direct instruction, guided practice, and real-time feedback. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, use practical examples to reinforce understanding, and check frequently for comprehension. I adapt my techniques based on each student’s learning style, whether that means visual supports, repetition, scaffolding, or hands-on practice.
A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in and review of prior material, followed by targeted instruction on new concepts. We then work through practice problems or reading and writing tasks together before transitioning to independent practice. Each session ends with a summary of what was learned and a clear plan for next steps or assignments.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students and help them feel capable and supported. I have experience working with students who have learning disabilities and other academic challenges, and I am intentional about creating a calm, respectful environment where students feel safe asking questions. My background in education allows me to identify gaps quickly and develop strategies that help students get back on track.
My lessons are designed for elementary, middle school, high school, and early college-level students who need support in Math or English, including online high school coursework. I work well with students who need remediation, enrichment, organization support, or accommodations, and I am committed to helping each learner reach their academic potential.
