About Kamya
Hi! I’m Kamya, an undergrad student at University College London. I completed the International Baccalaureate with a score of 42/45 and achieved 8 A* at IGCSE. I’ve always enjoyed essay-based subjects and analysing real-world issues, which is what drew me to studying economics.
Alongside academics, I’ve worked on a range of creative and research projects. I’ve been involved in journalism, social impact initiatives, and design work, including creating a large-scale installation for the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. These experiences have strengthened my ability to communicate ideas clearly and explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
Outside of university, I enjoy watching and analysing films, playing the guitar, and working on creative storytelling and design projects. I believe learning should be engaging and confidence-building, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.

My approach focuses on helping students truly understand economic concepts rather than memorising diagrams or definitions. In lessons, I break down complex topics into simple steps and use real-world examples to explain ideas such as market structures, inflation, fiscal policy, and economic growth. I also focus strongly on exam technique, including how to structure long-answer questions, analyse data, and write high-scoring essays.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Sessions are interactive and tailored to the student’s needs – whether that means reviewing difficult topics, practising exam-style questions, or preparing for upcoming tests. I often begin by identifying areas the student finds challenging and then work through explanations, diagrams, and practice questions together.
My lessons are designed for secondary school students aged roughly 14–18, particularly those studying GCSE/IGCSE or IB Economics who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance.
