About Tracy
I am a 4.0 high school graduate, now a UBC Science student with experience as an English (reading, writing, speaking) teacher/tutor for both an international company, and as a private tutor. I currently work internationally as a debate, reading class, and writing class teacher for youth groups of 5-10 students aged 10-15 on the basics of debate, public speaking, politics, education, reading and analyzing literature, as well as English writing (argumentative essays, personal essays, etc.) I also tutor coding classes with a non-profit organization. Here, I teach youth ages as young as 8. This specifically includes providing lessons and empowering neurotypical and neurodivergent students through these coding sessions. I have taken Peer Tutoring courses, where I learned the most efficient methods of teaching and have first-hand experience in teaching multiple subjects, and further trained to teach those with learning disabilities.

I use the first free 30-minute lesson to understand how the student learns best and to get to know the student. Then, taking that into account, I spend time on each following lesson to make it personalized to ensure the best learning outcome. Class plans are made personalized to each student and adapted to the student's needs during each session. I love making my lessons fun and interactive by implementing topics and ideas that the student enjoys. This will make each session more engaging and in turn more beneficial to the student!

Amazing teacher! Very organized, planned out classes — creates new and personalized class plans for each session based on my son's needs. Just shows how experienced she is, being able to teach young students his age.
He often has trouble focusing on things, but she always adapts to get him back into learning!
Very fun, my son loves having her as a teacher!She never let’s you down and you can always depend on her to get things done right. She is also incredibly sweet and understanding and will work to cater to the students needs.
