About Leanne
Completed my Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UBC, researching miniaturized biosensing devices. Currently working as a Design Engineer at a tech start-up.
Previously completed my Bachelors of Engineering Physics and Management at McMaster University, in Ontario. This program specializes in nanotechnology, optics, and nuclear engineering. It teaches fundamental principles of each subject and allows specialization in a field of interest. The management specialization allows me to gain business knowledge of how companies run and make decisions. I have excelled in my studies, with a most recent GPA of 12 (on a 12 point system).
I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with my blue heeler puppy.

Since my first year of university, I've been tutoring high-school and university math, physics, and chemistry, with great results. I am motivated to help students learn not only the material, but also study habits and test taking skills. I have also been working as a teaching assistant for first, second, and third year university courses, responsible for running labs and tutorials, as well as grading assignments. I have continued to tutor throughout university as it is extremely rewarding to see students develop and grow with my guidance.
Since I have had a wide variety of teaching and tutoring experience, I am able to cater to each student's need individually. Every student will have a slightly different learning style, and often teachers in school can not appeal to every style. I am looking to help break down concepts and processes into terms that are relatable and easy to understand and remember for individual students.
