About Liam
I am a sincerely motivated aspiring Mechanical Engineer with a passion for learning, and also for teaching. I have always had an aptitude for explaining complex concepts in an intuitive and manageable manner, which almost led me to pursue teaching as a full career. Nevertheless, my enthusiasm for teaching persists. My eagerness to answer the why's and what's of STEM led me to do my own research on YouTube and other sources. From there, I garnered many answers to questions that often stump students, which I believe is a big hurdle that holds many back from really thriving in STEM.

My approach to tutoring for Leaving Cert is to instil a fundamental understanding of the course content that can enable you to adeptly answer all possible questions in my subjects, a method which prepared me the best for my exams.
Written notes including diagrams, explanations, worked solutions, key words from marking schemes are available on request.
I am equally equipped to help students with starting a topic from scratch, application of theory to exam questions and/or filling in the blanks from what was taught in school
I am flexible on the length of tutoring lessons (1+ hrs etc.), frequency of lessons and location as I can drive, preferably within the scope of Galway city.

Details
I determined my fee based on the combination of two things; firstly, my ability to verbally convey content in a manageable way and thus entice students to engage critical thinking in order to develop the necessary skills to properly achieve top marks in the final exams.
Secondly, my own personal notes from my Leaving Cycle years, which are filled with highly detailed diagrams, explanations and breakdowns of all content covered in the subjects. For each section of a subject, there are exam questions and answers written into my notes including keywords and exact phrasing required by the State Exams Commission to achieve top marks.
I believe my fee is a good reflection of my abilities.
