About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily and I'm from Bolton, United Kingdom.
My degree qualification is in Speech and Language Therapy so I have advanced knowledge of linguistics and phonology. This means I have specialist knowledge of pronunciation, specifically British English pronunciation.
I have a TEFL certificate from The TEFL Org and I have experience of teaching English as a foreign language with adults with a range of abilities and backgrounds.
I am also learning a second language myself (Spanish) so I understand how you are feeling!
I am very friendly, welcoming and patient and want to help you to be the best you can be!

I teach adults only from B1 level upwards. I personalise all of my classes and focus on teaching you what you want or need to learn. My classes are engaging as I use a variety of materials including videos, games, reading and speaking activities etc.
In my 50 minute classes, I specialise in using topic based classes to expand vocabulary and teaching/reviewing grammar points. I personalise all of my classes to the wants and needs of the students and ensure they are engaging. I build strong relationships with my students so that they feel comfortable and confident in classes and outside of classes using English in the real world.
