Carlotta is an exceptionally patient and engaging teacher. In June 2018 Carlotta began teaching me French before I went to study in Paris in December of that year. Despite being taught French from the age of 5 to16 I had always struggled to engage with the language. Carlotta made learning French much more interesting and quickly brought my understanding of the language to quite a high standard. Carlotta has diverse interests and wide ranging knowledge which makes learning a lot less dry. She took time to figure out what my interests were and weaved that in to the lessons. In particular, she used are shared passion for cinema to accelerate my learning.

I can honestly say that she made my year in France as I was able to communicate with the locals. I have continued to use Carlotta on an ad hoc basis to keep my French going - I always look forward to these lessons and I am envious of anyone who gets to start learning with her now

I began lessons with Carlotta after receiving a new position as an Artist Liaison, working with mostly Italian artists. With basic conversational skills I hoped to establish strong relationships with each individual, showing my respect, dedication and readiness to adapt. With Carlotta’s help I was able to do this exactly. Carlotta was patient and kind, making herself available to fit around my busy schedule. Each class was well structured and easy to follow. Whenever I was feeling overwhelmed she helped me to find confidence, and for this I will always be grateful.
