About Luke
My name is Luke Shockley and I am a sophomore at Stonehill College majoring in Finance. I grew up always having a strong interest in math, and excelled in it through middle and high school. Over the years, I developed strong problem-solving skills and learned how to break difficult concepts into simple steps. I enjoy helping students build confidence in math and understand topics in a way that feels less stressful and more approachable. My goal as a tutor is to create a positive learning environment where students can improve their skills, ask questions comfortably, and succeed academically.

My lessons are designed to make math simple, clear, and actually understandable for students at the high school level and below. I specialize in breaking down topics like algebra, fractions, decimals, equations, and basic geometry into easy steps that don’t feel overwhelming. What sets me apart is my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways until they truly make sense, not just memorized for a test. I focus on patience, repetition when needed, and building confidence so students stop feeling “bad at math” and start improving quickly. Every lesson is customized to the student’s pace, making sure they fully understand before moving forward.
