About James
I am presently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as a trombone scholar. Prior to this I was awarded a scholarship as a specialist musician to Wells Cathedral School. Here I developed a love for music and thrived in the numerous playing opportunities on offer and interacted with students of all ages and abilities. I have been extremely fortunate to have been taught by outstanding trombonists such as Andy Fawbert, Alan Hutt, Emily White, Andy Harwood-White and am now currently studying under Eric Crees and Simon Wills. Through these highly skilled, world renowned teachers, I have received hugely valuable lessons that I would love to pass on and adapt to the needs of individuals.

I am flexible and can cater to all ages and abilities. I am enthusiastic and aim to keep lessons focussed and enjoyable. I look for the positives in people’s playing whilst suggesting improvements with the main motivation of allowing people to become the best musicians they can be.
