About Victor
Hi, I'm Victor! I hold a Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering major, WAM 76.75) from La Trobe University and am currently completing a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at Southern Cross University in Perth. Before university, I completed the Mathematics-specialist stream at HUS High School for Gifted Students (GPA 9.4/10).
Over the past three years, I have tutored more than 10 students one-to-one online and in small groups, and I have scripted and recorded 65 secondary Mathematics teaching videos covering Years 7 to 10 algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving. I hold a current WA Working with Children Check, a WA Police National Police Certificate, and HLTAID012 First Aid and CPR.

My lessons are designed for high school students in Years 7 to 10 who want to build real confidence in Mathematics, NAPLAN Numeracy, and introductory Coding or Digital Technologies.
Each 60-minute lesson follows a clear, low-stress structure:
1. Quick diagnostic check: We look at your current school topic, homework, or recent test paper to find the exact step where your work gets stuck.
2. Step-by-step worked examples: Using a shared digital whiteboard, I model one problem clearly, then solve the next one together with you so you understand why the method works rather than just memorising formulas.
3. Guided and independent practice: You work through exam-style questions while I give immediate, specific feedback and help you build a short checklist to avoid common calculation or sign mistakes.

"Viet has a brilliant mind for problem-solving. What makes him a great tutor is that he doesn't just provide the answers; he takes the time to walk you through the logical steps to get there. He is calm under pressure, incredibly reliable, and always brings a positive, supportive energy to his teaching."
Highly recommended! Viet is organized, reliable, and genuinely cares about his students' academic success
"I have known Viet for many years and can confidently attest to his outstanding character and work ethic. He is incredibly disciplined, highly analytical, and approaches every academic challenge with serious dedication. Beyond his own intelligence, he has a natural patience when explaining things to others. He genuinely wants to see people succeed, making him a fantastic and trustworthy guide for any student
highly recommend Viet for anyone tackling Senior ATAR Mathematics. What sets him apart is his deep understanding of the SCSA marking rubrics and his mastery of the Casio ClassPad. He doesn't just teach you how to arrive at the answer; he uses diagnostic teaching to show you exactly where students typically drop marks and how to secure them. His clear, step-by-step visual scaffolding makes even the toughest calculus concepts manageable
