About Rachel
Hi there, this is Rachel! I have 5+ years of experience delivering one-on-one & group Chinese, English (ESL), and STEAM classes for children and youths aged 3-18 with a wide range of developmental abilities as a Tutor and a Therapist Assistant. In these roles, I have been supporting young kids and youths acing their entrance exams (e.g., HKDSE - the competitive university entrance exam in Hong Kong) and getting into their desired secondary schools (middle/high school) and universities. More about my education/research background:
✧ I went to the Chinese University of Hong Kong (QS ranking =36) for my undergrad and the University of Pennsylvania (QS ranking = 11) as an exchange student.
✧ I graduated with first-class honors, Dean’s Lists, and 10+ Awards/Scholarships in Psychology, with a concentration in Clinical and Health Psychology.
✧ I've recently graduated from the Addictions and Mental Health Grad. Cert. program at Durham College, where I’ve been developing my skills in supporting folks struggling with addictions and mental health issues. ✧ I’m conducting qualitative and quantitative research to be published as the first author in peer-reviewed journals. I’ve engaged in literature review, data collection & analysis, and manuscript writing!
