About Edidiong
Hello! I'm Edidiong Uwemedimo Edet, a passionate and dedicated educator with over eight years of teaching experience helping students achieve academic success. I am a Computer Science graduate, a TRCN-registered teacher, hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), and I am currently completing a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Planning.
I specialize in teaching Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, and English as a Second Language (ESL). I work with students from Grades 1–10, while my ESL lessons are suitable for learners of all ages, from beginners to advanced speakers.
I understand that every student learns differently. That's why I take a patient, supportive, and student-centered approach, adapting each lesson to the learner's goals, strengths, and pace. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence, encourage critical thinking, and develop a genuine understanding of each subject.
My lessons are engaging, interactive, and well-structured. Learning should be engaging, practical, and enjoyable. As a Computer Science graduate, TRCN-registered educator, and experienced online tutor, I believe that every student can succeed when lessons are tailored to their individual learning style and pace.
My lessons are interactive, student-centered, and goal-oriented. I begin by assessing each student's current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. Based on this assessment, I develop a personalized learning plan that focuses on building confidence, strengthening foundational knowledge, and helping students achieve measurable academic progress.
Rather than encouraging memorization, I teach students to understand concepts through clear explanations, real-life examples, guided practice, and regular feedback. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and learning from their mistakes.
Each lesson lasts 60 minutes and is carefully structured to maximize learning:
A brief review of previous concepts.
Introduction of new topics using simple, easy-to-understand explanations.
Guided practice with worked examples.
Independent exercises to reinforce learning.
A summary of key points and recommendations for further practice.
I have over eight years of teaching experience in classroom instruction and private online tutoring. I hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), and I am currently completing a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Planning.
