When I started in my position as a behavioral health technician. We were without a program manager for three months. We only had one lead tech, and even though he trained me to the best of his abilities, I never felt completely secure in my role and always questioned myself. During those three months of learning how to be a tech. I made mistakes. When Adriana came into the picture, she helped me conquer those mistakes and get past them. Adriana never passed any judgment towards me when I had difficulties. Rather, she took the time to speak with me and explain what I had done incorrectly and how we can fix it to prevent it from happening again. Despite my self-doubts, she consistently offered encouraging words and was always a shoulder to lean on if needed. She encouraged me to learn from every experience and make improvements rather than lingering in the past, putting myself down for messing up. After a period without leadership, she gave the techs the structure and meetings they needed to thrive, and she helped me flourish and find my unique style of working as a tech.
