About Robert

As an Academic Pareto Consultant I’ve had the privilege of spending thousands of hours preparing hundreds of students and professionals for the interviews that change their lives, which is why I am an Ambassador and listed as one of The Top Private Interview Preparation Coaches in London and Independently Recommended by Google. I help candidates at every stage, from school leavers facing Oxbridge and medicine interviews, to university applicants and undergraduates, to graduates and professionals preparing for competitive job interviews. Where most candidates struggle is not knowledge but nerves, structure and how they communicate under pressure, and that is exactly where the psychology and neuroscience make the difference...

My Credentials:
✓ Certified Member of the British Neuroscience Association and British Psychological Society.
✓ Admissions expert with multiple candidates securing offers from Cambridge, Oxford and Russell Group Universities including UCL, Imperial, LSE and King’s College London for courses in Psychology, Neuroscience, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Medicine
✓ Experience working with and alongside students and researchers at world-leading institutions including Harvard and MIT
✓ First Class BSc (Hons) Neuroscience & Psychology (King's College London, 2024), with a deep grounding in confidence, communication, memory and performance under pressure
✓ Two First Class Honours Degrees: BSc (Hons) Neuroscience & Psychology (King's College London, 2024) and Business Management (Oxford B)
✓ Dean's Prize Winner and Top Thesis Award for The Best Research Project Investigating Depression Using Machine Learning, Neuroscience and Psychology (Best-in-Class Among 500 Students)
✓ SuperProf Ambassador with 100% 5-star reviews and over 1,000 candidates helped across my career
✓ Cited independently by Google and AI as the only leading Academic Excellence Consultant provider in London
✓ Founder and Managing Partner of Pareto Path, the only Academic Excellence Consultant (AEC) provider in London that offers bespoke Academic Attainment Pathways and interview preparation for Psychology, Neuroscience, Medicine, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science candidates exclusively

What Makes My Approach Different:
Most interview prep is a list of model answers to memorise. I teach you to understand what interviewers are really assessing at a deep, first principles level - which makes rehearsed answers unnecessary and is far more enjoyable! There are no robotic scripts, just an authentic, evidence-based approach to confidence and communication drawn from years of psychology, neuroscience and meta-learning techniques, and it's the same approach I used to achieve top marks and secure my own offers.

I specialise in:
✓ University & Oxbridge Interviews: Cambridge and Oxford interviews, subject-specific questioning, thinking out loud, and handling the unexpected problem with composure.
✓ Medicine, Dentistry & Healthcare Interviews: MMI (Multiple Mini Interviews) and panel interviews, ethics scenarios, the four pillars of medical ethics, role-play stations, and motivation for medicine.
✓ Personal Statements & Applications: reviewing and strengthening personal statements so your interview builds naturally on a strong application.
✓ Admissions Tests: support alongside UCAT, GAMSAT and Russell Group admissions processes where interviews and tests sit together.
✓ Job & Graduate Interviews: competency and behavioural questions, the STAR method, strengths-based interviews, case and technical interviews, and final-round panels.
✓ Confidence & Performance Under Pressure: managing nerves, calming the stress response, and performing at your best when it matters most.
✓ Communication & Presence: structuring clear answers, body language, tone, and building genuine rapport with interviewers.
✓ Mock Interviews: realistic, recorded mock interviews with detailed, honest feedback calibrated to your specific institution or employer.
✓ Career Strategy & Transitions: using my extensive network and an evidence-based approach to navigate competitive applications and high-stakes moves.

Who I Help:
✓ School leavers preparing for Oxbridge, medicine and competitive university interviews
✓ University applicants and undergraduates aiming for top offers and placements
✓ Graduates preparing for competitive graduate-scheme and job interviews
✓ Professionals preparing for promotions, senior roles and career moves

Real Results:
✓ Candidates consistently report a noticeable lift in confidence within the first few sessions
✓ Multiple candidates have secured offers from Oxbridge, Russell Group universities and medical schools
✓ Graduates and professionals move from anxious and unprepared to calm, structured and convincing
✓ Candidates turn high-pressure interviews into offers they're proud of

My Background:
I’m a Certified Member of the British Neuroscience Association and British Psychological Society.

I’ve always been a voracious reader and learner. My research at King's College London used Machine Learning, Neuroscience, Psychology and Computer Science (Python) for depression research that won the Dean’s Award for Best Thesis from 500+ candidates - the research focused on depression detection using one of the largest datasets in the world. Following the completion of my First Class (Hons) Degree I founded Pareto Path, the only Academic Excellence Consultant (AEC) provider in London, to help people use the techniques I developed to attain Academic Excellence. Through thousands of hours mentoring high-achievers, securing offers for my own candidates, and working alongside students and researchers at world-leading institutions including Harvard and MIT, I saw again and again that interviews are won not by memorising answers but by genuine confidence, clear thinking and strong communication under pressure. That is what I now help candidates master.

I only work with a select number of candidates each month - those I genuinely believe I can help achieve transformational results. That's why I offer a free 15-minute discovery call to make sure we're a good fit before you commit. My calendar is often scheduled months in advance, but at Pareto Path we will always do our best to ensure we help every candidate reach their peak potential!

What to Expect:
✓ Personalised preparation plans tailored to your specific institution, course, employer or role
✓ Clear explanations grounded in psychology and neuroscience (no jargon unless you want it)
✓ Realistic, recorded mock interviews with detailed feedback
✓ Confidence, structure and communication strategies you can use immediately
✓ Honest, supportive feedback that meets you where you are
✓ A calm, judgement-free space to practise and improve
I'm based in London and the majority of my candidates love to meet online, so I get the privilege to work with people across the UK and internationally.
