About Noel
I’m Noel, a finance tutor with a strong academic and professional background in business and investment analysis. Studying in Europe and the US, as well as being part of a Big 4 Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team, I worked on valuation models, due diligence, and deal analysis for real companies. My teaching philosophy is simple: clarity, structure, and relevance. I focus on helping students truly understand financial concepts and not just memorize them. Whether it’s breaking down valuation methods, building Excel models, or explaining accounting fundamentals, I connect theory with practical, real-world finance examples. You can expect each session to be well-prepared, interactive, and adapted to your pace. I always provide clear explanations, personalized exercises, and constructive feedback. My goal is not only to help you pass exams, but to make you confident in your understanding, so that you can apply what you learn in future studies or your career. I’ve worked with students from various levels; from high school and undergraduates to master’s students and young professionals; helping them improve their grades, master Excel, and build a stronger grasp of corporate finance and accounting. If you’re looking for a tutor who combines academic insight with real business experience, and who genuinely cares about your progress, I’d be very happy to work with you!

My approach is practical, structured, and student-centered. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind the numbers. I break down complex finance or business concepts into clear, real-world applications — often using examples from my professional experience. I emphasize: (1) Interactive problem-solving (we build models or analyze cases together). (2) Concept reinforcement through short, targeted exercises. (3) Active recall & spaced repetition for long-term understanding. (4) Real-world context — connecting academic material to what’s done in professional finance. A standard 60-minute session follows this flow: 1. Warm-up / recap (5–10 min): quick review of prior material or concepts the student struggled with. 2. Core concept breakdown (20 min): I explain the theory with visuals, examples, or Excel demos. 3. Guided practice (20 min): we solve problems together or apply the concept to a real business case. 4. Independent challenge (5–10 min): the student attempts a short problem alone. 5. Wrap-up & next steps: identify what clicked, what didn’t, and assign short reinforcement tasks. For longer programs, I also create progress trackers (in Excel or Google Sheets) to measure improvement over time. I build original examples and exercises based on the student’s syllabus or learning goals. In addition, I often include short discussions on career strategy, interview prep, or Excel tips for business roles. Having studied and worked across Europe and the U.S., I easily adapt to different academic systems and learning styles. My lessons are mainly for: (1) Undergraduate & Master’s students studying business, finance, or economics. (2) Aspiring analysts or consultants who want to sharpen modeling, valuation, or Excel skills. (3) High-school students preparing for business-school entrance or university-level finance courses. (4) Professionals or entrepreneurs who want to understand financial statements, investment concepts, or valuation basics. Topics I cover include: - Financial accounting fundamentals - Corporate finance & valuation - Excel & financial modeling (3-statement, DCF, LBO) - Strategy & M&A concepts - Quantitative reasoning for business
