About Waldo
Hi! I’m Waldo — an Accounting student at the University of Pretoria, currently completing my Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences (PGDAS). I completed my BAccounting (Cum Laude) at Stellenbosch University in 2024, after earning 8 distinctions in Matric (including 96% for Accounting). I’ve always loved helping others understand Accounting in a way that feels logical and approachable. During my studies, I often explained complex topics to classmates — and discovered how much I enjoy seeing those “aha!” moments when everything suddenly clicks.

My approach focuses on helping students finally understand Accounting instead of just memorising it. I know how stressful exam season can be, so my lessons focus on clarity, confidence, and practical exam skills.
My approach:
I believe that once you understand the “why” behind the numbers, everything else falls into place. I use real examples, clear explanations, and interactive problem-solving to make Accounting make sense. I don’t just teach formulas — I teach reasoning.
What makes me different:
I make concepts stick. My students often tell me, “You explained in 10 minutes what I struggled with for weeks.” I’m approachable, patient, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress.
Languages:
I teach comfortably in English and Afrikaans.
What to expect from a typical lesson:
Each session starts with a quick check of your problem areas. We then tackle those topics step-by-step, using examples similar to your tests or exams. You’ll leave each session with simplified notes and a clear plan of what to practise next.
