About the lesson

Throughout my teaching career, my capabilities have grown substantially. I have gained a wide range of knowledge and experience in teaching English Language and Literature for over 19 years. I endeavour to provide a high quality, stimulating experience for everyone I teach, through innovative, engaging lessons and tutorials that encourage a ‘can do’ approach to learning. I am also very proud of the effective working relationships and mutual respect I have developed with the whole ability range of students throughout my teaching experiences so far. These students range from Key Stages 3 to 5.

Outside of school, I have been an examiner for the AQA UK National Examination Board, which has allowed me to plan lessons for students more effectively, with my acquired knowledge of examination assessment.

Furthermore, I have always had a natural enthusiasm and tenacity for learning and a ‘can do’ philosophy, both personally and professionally.  I would fully embrace the opportunity to share these attributes with students to help them reach their full potential.
