About Mary
my name is Mary Hannan, and I am a junior in high school in Connecticut. My favorite subjects are English and history and I plan on majoring in forensics psychology, or criminology when I get to college. II am taking AP language and composition for my junior year along with AP government and AP psychology. II am also taking honors British literature. II play lacrosse for my high school and I am also a part of the student council. Unlike other high school students, I do find academics very important, even when they’re very hard. I want to make it easier for other people especially because when I was in elementary school, I felt like I was struggling and I needed to reach out, so this is exactly what I want to do for younger kids, who are also struggling and aren’t confident in their academics.

In my lessons, I want to help kids understand the concept of reading, and English, including grammar and vocabulary. I am only a junior in high school, so I really think my best age group to tutor for would be elementary students. We would read books, go over grammar, learn new words and come together to make academics fun and easier.
