About John
As an experienced English Literature and Language examiner I know exactly what you need to succeed. I have a track record of getting students up to 2 grades above their school predicted grades, when students follow my methods. I support students through challenging them to be the best that they can be, regardless of their target grade. Having taught in education for 10 years, I understand that sometimes we need a little bit of an extra boost to really help you achieve your goals. I would hope that I would be able to provide this.

As a tutor I take a student led approach to sessions, where I will always ask students what they need to get out of me over the course of our sessions. As an experienced GCSE Literature and Language examiner, I provide accurate marked feedback on both homework essays and work completed in our tutoring sessions. Lessons tend to last 60 minutes and hosted via Zoom. I have been professionally tutor for 2 academic years, have worked as a university admissions tutor/lecturer for 4 academic years and have been teaching for coming up to 10 years in the education sector. I am able to support students in English primarily up to GCSE, but can provide mentoring support for A Level students.
