About Emma
Hello! I’m a third-year student at the University of Bristol, studying Law and Spanish. I’m passionate about English and Spanish and love helping others develop their language skills and understanding of literature. I have achieved A* in both GCSE and A-Level English and Spanish, and I bring my strong academic foundation into my tutoring sessions. Whether you're preparing for exams, looking to improve your writing or speaking skills, or just want to gain more confidence in the subject, I tailor my lessons to meet your individual needs. My Approach to Tutoring: I believe that every student learns in their own way, so I aim to create tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of each learner. My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and focuses on building both confidence and competence in English and Spanish. Techniques & Methodology: - Interactive and Practical Learning: I use a variety of activities that encourage active participation, such as discussions, games, reading comprehension exercises, and speaking practice to keep students engaged. - Clear Concept Explanation: I break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps, using relatable examples that make the material more approachable. - Regular Feedback and Progress Tracking: I provide constructive feedback throughout lessons to help students improve continuously and feel more confident in their abilities. - Revision and Reinforcement: I ensure that key concepts are regularly revisited through interactive activities and tailored revision sessions, particularly when exams or assessments are approaching. Lesson Length: - Typically, my lessons last 1 hour, but I can adjust the length depending on the student’s focus and needs. I can also offer shorter sessions for younger students or longer sessions for deeper learning. Qualifications & Experience: - I am currently a third-year student studying Law and Spanish at the University of Bristol. At the moment, I am studying in Spain for my year abroad. My study of Law has sharpened my skills in literacy, in-depth analysis, and structured argumentation, all of which are invaluable in teaching English and Spanish effectively. - I achieved A* in both GCSE and A-Level English and Spanish, and have experience tutoring students from primary school all the way through to GCSE level, tailoring lessons to meet the needs of each age group and level. - My studies and teaching experience equip me with the skills to help students not only understand the material but also develop strong analytical and communication skills that will benefit them academically and personally. Who My Lessons Are For: - Level: I offer lessons in English (Literature and Language) and Spanish from primary school through to GCSE level. - Age: I teach primary and secondary school students.
