About Samuel
Hi, I'm Samuel! I'm a third-year BA Economics student at Lancaster University, predicted to graduate with First Class Honours, after achieving an A in A-Level Economics.
My passion for teaching began while I was studying for my own exams. I often created YouTube videos explaining Economics and Mathematics topics, as I found that teaching concepts to others was one of the best ways to reinforce my own understanding. From that experience, I realised how valuable it is to learn from someone who can break down difficult ideas into simple, understandable steps. That's the approach I bring to every lesson.
Alongside my studies, I've completed internships where I've developed strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, working with data, financial analysis and real-world business challenges. Next year, I'll be undertaking a year-long industrial placement in Corporate Income & Costing at an NHS Foundation Trust, where I'll continue building my experience in finance, data analysis and strategic decision-making.
Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active and regularly play tennis and football. I believe sport has taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork and resilience—qualities that I also bring to my tutoring.
I'm based in Manchester and offer friendly, patient and supportive online lessons. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels or first-year university Economics, my goal is to help you understand the subject, build confidence and achieve the best results you can.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual goals, whether they are aiming to improve their confidence, prepare for exams, or achieve the highest grades possible. I believe that understanding the reasoning behind economic concepts is far more effective than simply memorising definitions, so I focus on building a strong foundation before tackling more challenging topics.
Lessons are interactive and structured around the student's needs. I use worked examples, diagrams, exam-style questions, and real-world economic events to explain key topics clearly. Regular knowledge checks and practice questions help reinforce learning, while detailed feedback ensures students understand how to improve their exam technique.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for revision or intensive exam preparation.
I also achieved an A* in Geography A-Level, with a Grade 9 at GCSE and a B in Mathematics at A-Level and a Grade 8 in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics at GCSE. I am open to teaching these too - aimed at GCSE students or anyone between Yr7 - Yr11.
The level will range, whether you are struggling to pass or aim to achieve top grades.
