About Neve
My name is Neve, I'm a third-year BSc (Hons) student in Speech and Language Therapy.
Communication is at the heart of what I do! Getting to know you, how to support you and helping you to feel that you can approach me are at the forefront of my work.
English within the curriculum can be fast-paced and intensive, leaving many students feeling they are missing 'gaps' in their learning. I aim to provide an affordable, comfortable space to fill exactly what you feel is needed in your educational experience. With experience in supporting students with a variety of needs (ASD, English as an additional language, and more), understanding the individual's learning style is just as important as delivering the content. A good relationship, and an opportunity to take control of your own learning!

My lessons are directed towards students at GCSE/National 5 level, A Level/Highers, and those seeking a Foundation level in English Language and Literature. Also, support for International students, or students that have English as an additional language.
Typically 1 hour - 1.5 hours with a 5-10 minute 'mind break'
Lessons are a mix of interactive tasks, live quizzes and thought-provoking slides. A first 'get to know you' session, to get an understanding of what you would like from the sessions, and how I can accommodate your needs as we go along!
The sessions are relaxed, with light tasks to work on outside of the lessons with considerations for your schedule should it be a busy one.
