About Mary
I am a math tutor with a love for math, technology, and teaching. I believe that given enough help, a little bit of patience, and quite a bit of practice, anyone can come to not only be good at math but also love it. I start off by using the first lesson to gauge the level the students are at and noting down strengths and weaknesses and use this information to make a curriculum for them that we will follow over the next weeks/months. Each lesson plan I make is personalized for the student I will be teaching the concept to. I believe that contributes to a better learning experience. A typical lesson involves quick revision about the topic we covered in the previous lesson, an introduction to the concept we'll be covering that day, then getting deeper into the topics as the learner becomes more confident. My lessons are aimed at primary and high school learners (grades 4 - 12).

She is a brilliant teacher and is very patient with her students. I love her method of teaching because it doesn't make me feel pressured to keep going even when I don't understand. She goes through the work with me until I understand. I highly recommend Ignite as the go to tutor for mathematics.
