About Julie

With over 10 years of experience working with children across various educational settings—including students with IEPs—I bring both professional knowledge and personal understanding to the table. As a mom of a neurodivergent child with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia, I deeply understand the unique challenges struggling readers and writers face—and how to support them with patience, empathy, and proven strategies. Currently pursuing my certification as a Reading Specialist, I specialize in delivering systematic and explicit reading instruction grounded in the Science of Reading. My teaching is hands-on, engaging, and tailored to meet the needs of every learner. Whether I’m guiding a child through phonemic awareness activities, supporting early writing skills, or helping build confidence with multisensory tools, my goal is to make learning both meaningful and fun.
