About Maryke
I conduct well-planned out and creative lessons that facilitate engaging and fun activities to help you learn and understand the material you struggle with.
I have only worked as a tutor for a short time and I have certification in teaching English as a Second Language. I am, however, confident in my abilities to guide and help my students improve their grades and skills. I excelled at math in school.
I know the work you do in school can be tough. Transitioning to the next grade can create a steep learning curve and it can be easy to fall behind. Classes are often big and your teacher's approach which is catered to the majority of the class, may not necessarily work for you. Students with learning disabilities such as ADHD find it especially difficult to keep up as these disabilities aren't always picked up by teachers. I have made it my mission to help kids who struggle by creating a comfortable and safe environment. I want to make a difference in your life, both academically, and personally, if you allow me the opportunity.
