About Michael
I am from Virginia, USA. I was born in Guatemala, and I am adopted. English is my first language. I did my Bachelor's and TESOL certificate in Hawaii, and my Master's in Hawaii too (TESOL). I just came back from Thailand where I taught at Mae Fah Luang University (linguistics, business english, sociolinguistics, and general English).
I've taught students from Europe (Switzerland, France, Sweden, Czech Republic, etc.), Middle East (Saudi Arabia), Africa (Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt), Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Korean, Japan, China, Taiwan), The Pacific Islands (Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga), Canada (Quebec), and all over Latin America (Brazil, Mexi, Panama, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina).
I love to dance, play piano, draw (portraits), make videos for social media, swim, hike, and sun bathe!

It's up to you!I can be structured and plan a lesson or we can just have a conversation. I am comfortable with everything.
Testing - usually structure is best with homework so we can check exercises during the lessons (FCE, CAE, IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, DET).
If you want to focus on speaking unstructured is best. I like to mix corrections by correcting you after you speak but also in writing (in the chat). A mix is good!
