About Caroline
My name is Caroline and I grew up in Northern Ireland, UK.
️ I am 39 years old and live in Krabi, Thailand.
I studied Drama in college before becoming a Scuba Diving instructor in Phi Phi Islands 17 years ago.
I specialize in teaching children, and am currently an English teacher in an International Montessori School and run my own English Camp on the weekends.
I was an English Home Room Teacher in a Thai School.
I have taught people aged 2 - 70 and from over 40 countries how to Scuba Dive, swim and speak English.
️ I love the ocean! I volunteer alot of my time to ocean conservation projects.
I have been in the hospitality/tourism industry for 20 years and worked in 4 different countries.
I love to travel and have lived in Asia, Australia, USA and the UK. I can understand many accents and dialects.
I love taking photos under the sea and on land and I would like to share my experiences with you.
I have completed my Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate.
I have been an English tutor for local Thai people on Phi Phi Islands for many years.
I have a neutral accent and I am easy to understand because I have been teaching many different nationalities.
I love meeting people from different cultures.

I am student centered and focus on communication and accuracy. On our first lesson we will set clear, achievable goals which we will work towards together to fulfill your learning journey.
I have alot of experience teaching younger children so I am familiar using the total physical response teaching method. My younger students tend to engage more easily and react to the me with movement, singing, miming, gesturing, and acting out the language.
For older students I prefer communicative language teaching as it improves the students' confidence to communicate in real-life contexts and learn to express their feelings and preferences. I like to find topics that my students are interested in, and develop language skills around these topics.
My lesson plans range from grammar, business English, science, marine biology, environmental science, reading/comprehension, creative writing and current affairs.
I try to develop my teaching methods by continually reflecting on my teaching style by making adjustments and trying to change my methods to achieve better results.
