About Lucy
I am a TEFL Teacher and have been teaching English in Spain for a year and a half. I have been giving private online lessons since April 2020 to children living in Spain as part of a city care project. I have a BA(Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies. I teach British English and have a Southern English accent. I grew up on the outskirts of London.

Hi, my name is Lucy and I'm an English teacher to children in Spain. I have been working at a Spanish school in Madrid for a year and a half. In order to teacher new vocabulary and grammar I like to use the PPP approach- Presentation, Practice, Production. I present the new vocab/ grammar to the student(s) and then provide a controlled activity for them to practice the new language they have learnt. I then give the students the opportunity to produce the new language in a freer practice activity. The controlled practice focuses on accuracy. The freer practice focuses on fluency.
Where I can I like to base my classes on authentic material from the target country/ countries. Moreover, I like to find out what the students likes, passions and interests are and, where possible, incorporate these topics into the lessons.
