Music led me into the world of French linguistics after I finished my BA. I spent 12 years honing how to explain complex nasal sounds to people who just want to speak better. Having taught hundreds of students, I know that verb conjugation feels like a chore if you are not interested in the result.
I bring a first-gen perspective to every single conversation we have. My approach is hands-on and very patient because I remember the frustration of starting from scratch. We look at everyday phrases and travel French in a way that feels organic. Cultural context is embedded in the way I teach grammar and liaison.
Most of my students are hobbyists looking for a bridge into the language. It feels good to watch someone gain confidence during role play and dialogue practice. Perhaps you would like to join me for a casual chat sometime.
