With a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a love for kids, it would only be natural for me to turn my passion into my career. I have 15 years of tutoring experience and 9 years of teaching experience with grades K-2. Virtual instruction during Covid has helped me become rather tech savvy as well, so the bulk of my tutoring is actually completed online.
I can happily tutor in all subjects for elementary students and can tutor in English, Writing, Pre-Algebra and Algebra for middle school. I recently completed my Orton-Gillingham plus certification and can now specialize in reading for students with Dyslexia.
While teaching in DC, half my students had an Individual Education Plan (IEP) set in place because of their special needs. I worked with them in a small group setting in order to strengthen their foundation skills in all subjects. My teaching has yielded great results. I have a lot of experience working with children who come from different backgrounds/ possess different learning styles.
Whether your child has difficulty staying organized, lacks study skills or simply needs to be challenged, I have a positive remedy for all academic concerns and take pride in the results that are achieved.
I am looking forward to working with your child by teaching them that they can do anything they put their mind to.
