I emphasize conceptual understanding over memorization. This method works with all types of students. I teach the chapter, first explaining the chapter in a nutshell and then thoroughly explaining each and every concept. I believe once you have understood something properly , you will never forget it. Then I help student with the exercises. I set up regular exams to get the feedback and help in exams.
