About Sumbul
I am a PhD scholar who learned English through novels and storybooks, which sparked my passion for speaking the language correctly.
Like many others, I had a strong command of written English because I read constantly. However, whenever I faced real-life speaking situations, I would freeze up and go completely blank. It felt suffocating to know what I wanted to say but be completely unable to express my thoughts.
However I have one habit that when I face a problem I always confront it directly, write it down, break it into smaller pieces, and find a solution for each individual part. I then implement those solutions consistently without stressing over immediate results. This systematic approach has always allowed me to either solve the problem completely or achieve significant progress.
Through this method, I discovered a few ways that helped me improve my vocabulary, grammar, and American accent. Now, I want to pay it forward by helping intermediate students overcome the exact same struggles.
